Kroger Mega Savings Event and Giveaway-Congratulations Amanda S.!
The Kroger Mega Savings Event is now in full swing! And not just in TX, but nationwide at the Kroger Co. Family of Stores. August 16-September 2nd, the Mega Event features many brands and major savings.
Here’s how it works:
Buy 10 participating items in one transaction and use your shopper card at check out to save $5 instantly. New this year, there is NO limit on the number of rewards per transaction!
To name a few of the brands you can purchase: Aquafina, Betty Crocker, Cascadian Farms, Cheerios, Chex Mix, Fiber One, Fritos, Life, Nature Valley, Sobe Life Water, General Mills, Tropicana, Yoplait and MORE!
The key is to combine coupons with the mega event for the most savings. I recommend shopping early to avoid crowds. Look for the double yellow tags in the store to find the participating items. Click here to see your weekly ad. Click here for more free printable coupons.
Here are my results:
This picture is missing two Naked Juice Smoothies we shared on the way home. If you look closely at the box of Life cereal you will see a hotwheels car my son was so excited to get for being a big help at the store.
I used my $30 Gift Card from MyBlogSpark, and two coupons (I accidently left the rest at home!).
My total for the items pictured above was…
$13.73!
Here's how:
First I used my $30 gift certificate from MyBlogSpark, General Mills, and PepsiCo.
I purchased at least ten items from the Mega Savings Event List (look for the double yellow tags in-store) saving $5 instantly.
Then I took advantage of the Kroger/Dallas Morning News Sunday paper deal for under $10 a month. For signing up I was given a $20 Kroger gift card. (If you wish to take advantage of this deal and recieve a $20 Kroger gift card call Ted at 318-572-1916 from the Dallas Morning News-just think of all the valuable coupons!)
I also took advantage of the Kroger Savings Deal, and bought one Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh and one Kraft American Cheese Singles to get one free 10.5oz Kroger Mustard, free lb of Tomatoes, free litter of 7UP, and free Kroger Bread (almost $6 in savings!)
I also had two coupons saving me $3.00. (I am so sad I forgot the rest!)
My total savings with my Kroger Plus Card was $27.22, with the coupons it was $30.22!
